2. Transcript Requirements

There are specific rules that need to be followed when you submit your previous academic records or transcripts. All credentials from non-U.S. institutions must be evaluated by a foreign-credential-evaluation agency to include a U.S. equivalent grade point average. The university recommends using a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. All academic records must be issued in the native language and be accompanied by a certified English translation.

3. International Transfer Credit

You can earn International transfer credit for coursework completed at an accredited (recognized) institution of higher learning. No credit is awarded for technical, vocational, or below-college-level coursework or courses completed with grades below “D-.”

4. International School Form

Suppose you attended a school outside the United States. In that case, the International School Form will be added to your Application Checklist.

5. Financial Background of Students.

Florida State University is required by U.S. federal regulations to verify the financial resources of each applicant prior to issuing the Form I-20.
