Victim Identified in Leesburg Cottom Plaza Accident

LEESBURG – Leesburg Police Department released the names of both the victim and the driver of the white pickup in the accident from earlier today at Cottom Plaza in Leesburg.

According to the Leesburg Police, The victim, 55-year-old Carrie Lee, was struck by a white 2000 Dodge pickup driven by Michael Mancusso, a 37-year-old man from Inverness, FL at approximately 11:15 am on Tuesday.

Lee was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center by air with serious injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing and no other information is available.

Lt. Joe Iozzi of the Leesburg Police Department asks that if anyone has any further information to contact the LPD Traffic Unit at (352)787-2121.
