OCALA — One man is in custody following a shooting at the Ocala Walmart on SR 40.
The shooting occurred mid-day Saturday and police have described it as a domestic violence altercation ending with multiple gunshots inside of the store.
A 30 year old female was shot multiple times. CPR was performed and she was transported to the hospital and later passed due to her injuries.

The gunman fleeing Walmart prompted a police search, evacuation, and the closure of major nearby intersections.
Police have released information that a 55 year old man is now in custody and being treated for self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Names involved have not yet been released as police investigate and contact next of kin. There are no outstanding suspects at this time.
