Semi Truck Crash Leaves One Dead

LUTZ, Fla – Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported a semi truck crash shortly after 10:30 Saturday, October 21.

The semi truck was traveling south on Dale Mabry Highway and entered the left turn lane at County Line Road. A second vehicle was traveling north on Dale Mabry Highway. The semi made a u-tun and entered the path of the second vehicle, a 1995 Chevy Blazer. The Chevy Blazer collided with the semi’s trailer. Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway, with the Blazer lodged beneath the trailer.

The occupants of the semi truck, driver James Clairvil (25) of Palm Bay and his passenger, Fabiola Clairvil (23) of Palm Bay, were reportedly uninjured.

The driver of the Chevy Blazer, 68 year old William Adam Reger Jr of Lutz, reportedly died at the scene.

Charges in this incident are pending.
