Sumter County Deputies Search for Armed Robbers of Coleman Dollar General

Surveillance footage from Dollar General shows the suspect as he robbed the Coleman store early Tuesday morning while armed with a handgun.

COLEMAN – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in identifying and locating a suspect responsible for the armed robbery of the Dollar General in Coleman early Tuesday morning.

According to a press release, the robbery occurred Tuesday morning at approximately 9:00 am at the Dollar General located at 1102 E. Warm Springs Blvd (US Hwy 301) in Coleman.

The suspect, described as a 6-foot tall male weighing approximately 140-150 pounds entered the store and struck the clerk while armed with a handgun.


The suspect then fled the store on foot after stealing a small amount of money and undisclosed merchandise.

The clerk suffered minor injuries, however, refused any medical treatment.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and a red bandana. He also carried a black backpack.
