Prominent Attorney Charged with DUI in the Villages

THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Eric Millhorn, a 45-year-old prominent attorney from The Villages was booked into the Sumter County Jail on August 9. He was charged with DUI and unlawful blood alcohol. He was bonded out on $1,000 bond the same day.

According to the arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, he was found at the intersection of County Road 462 and County Road 209 In Wildwood at 2:12 a.m. asleep in his black utility vehicle.

The arrest report continued that, “during field sobriety exercises he was stumbling heavily and swaying and almost fell over”. Breathalyzer testing showed readings of .209 and .198 blood alcohol content.

After the founder of the Millhorn Law Firm entered a plea of no contest, he was ordered to perform 50 hours of community service, was placed on probation for 12 months, and has had his driver’s license mandatorily revoked for 6 months.
