LEESBURG – Police are searching for suspects involved in a fight that took place in the parking lot of the 7 Stars Discount store located on Main Street in Leesburg Monday afternoon, according to Leesburg Police Lt. Joe Iozzi.
According to Iozzi, police responded to the store after a caller reported a fight in the parking lot, however, the suspects had already fled the scene before police arrived.
Witnesses reported that while fleeing the area, some shots were fired but there were no reported injuries.
Leesburg police officers were able to locate one of the vehicles described in the incident shortly after and arrested the driver. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
Police are still actively investigating the incident and are searching for the other parties involved.
Police have not yet released any names of the suspects involved.
