OCKLAWAHA – The body of a man found on the side of C-25 Sunday morning in Ocklawaha has been identified as 43-year-old Jeffrey Ackley.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, evidence shows that Ackley was the victim of a hit-and-run while walking down C-25 between SE 119 Court and 115 Avenue.

Troopers state that vehicle parts found at the scene lead them to believe that Ackley was struck by a Ford. The vehicle that fled the scene may possibly have a substantial amount of damage to the front driver’s side.
