SORRENTO — Hear ye! Hear ye! A new┬árenaissance festival kicked off its first day in Sorrento Saturday morning when they opened their gates to the public at 10:00 a.m. at the Easter Seals Camp Challenge grounds on Camp Challenge Road in Sorrento.

Artisans and merchants lined the grounds peddling their handmade crafts of leather, glass, and more while members from the Renaissance Festival of Central Florida organization walked around greeting guests while dressed in their best medieval garb.

Fairies, knights, royals, and humble servants will roam the campgrounds on April 7th and 8th and then again from April 13 – 15 starting at 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. with a special performance by world-famous violinist and performer Lindsey Stirling on April 7 at 7 p.m. on the main stage.
