LEESBURG – A Leesburg home has an estimated $75,00 in damage after a fire broke out overnight according to Leesburg Fire Deputy Chief Joseph Mera.
Leesburg Fire Department, Lake County Fire Rescue, and Lake EMS responded to a structure fire call early Friday morning at 12:23 am at a home located at 1316 Cambridge Drive in Leesburg behind Save-a-Lot.
Responders found heavy fire coming through the roof on the back corner of the residence when they arrived on scene.
Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the flames in the bedroom where the fire was located.
No civilians or emergency responders were injured during this incident.
The blaze caused an estimated $75,000 in damage to the home according to Mera.
It is unknown if the building was occupied at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s office.
