LEESBURG – Leesburg Police officers are searching for a vehicle that investigators say was involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of 37-year-old Robert Glennon.

According to a statement released Sunday afternoon, Glennon’s body was found on the shoulder of US Highway 27 Sunday morning near Howard Road.

Glennon was reported deceased on the scene from an apparent hit-and-run accident.

According to Lt. Joe Iozzi of the Leesburg Police Department, police now believe they have identified the make and model of the vehicle responsible for the incident.

“From the evidence discovered at the scene, we are likely looking for a 2014 Nissan Frontier,” said Iozzi in an email Tuesday afternoon.

Iozzi also stated the vehicle may have a damaged passenger side headlight and is missing the passenger side mirror.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Leesburg Police Department Traffic Unit at (352)787-2121.
