KISSIMMEE, Fla – A failure to yield has lead to the death of one driver and the serious injury of another, Florida Highway Patrol reported on October 30.

Linda Borden, 57 of Kissimmee, was heading west on South Boulevard approaching US-27 when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic. This resulted in Borden’s 2013 Toyota Camry entering the path of an oncoming 2010 Dodge Avenger. The two cars collided, and came to a rest just north of South Boulevard on US-27.

The driver of the second vehicle, 50 year old Bobby Gene Corbitt of Auburndale, sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to Heart of Florida Hospital for treatment. No further news of his condition is available at this time.
