Hometown Celebration Ferran Park Independence Day

EUSTIS – The City of Eustis will host its Independence Day Hometown Celebration on Friday, July 1 in Ferran Park, located at 250 Ferran Park Drive in Eustis. The free, family-friendly event runs from 5 – 9:30 p.m. and includes live music, vendors, food, a kid zone, a water ski show on Lake Eustis at 6:30 p.m. and a spectacular fireworks finale over the Lake at 9:30 p.m.
The free kid zone will feature bounce houses, water slides, arts and crafts, a face painter, balloon animals, sailboat rides and life-size lawn games. The Lake Eustis Sailing Club will provide sailboat rides and demonstrations on the shores of Lake Eustis in the park from 5 – 7 p.m.

The City of Eustis Aquatic Center, located in Ferran Park featuring the City’s new sailboat-themed splash pad, will be open for free, open-swim and splash pad use from 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

A Jeep show will also be hosted by Tillie’s Jeep Club on Eustis St in Downtown Eustis as part of the event from 5 – 8 p.m. Winners will receive trophies and cash prizes. Also, Advantage Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will be there to give away free stuff.


Entertainment in the historic Alice McClelland Memorial Bandshell will feature recording artist Jimmy Stanley, a singer/songwriter originally from Eustis. Stanley starred on the A&E reality TV show “Crazy Hearts: Nashville”, which was based on the lives of several aspiring musicians.

“This patriotic event offers a wide variety of free, family fun. There will be something for everyone to enjoy,” said Erin Bailey, the City’s Event Coordinator. ”We are especially excited about the water ski show on Lake Eustis, a new addition to the event, and about Jimmy Stanley coming back to his hometown to perform.”

The Lakeland Water Ski Show Team will perform on Lake Eustis at 6:30 p.m. The night will be capped off at 9:30 p.m. with a fantastic display of fireworks over the Lake. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Pets are permitted but must remain on a leash.
