FRUITLAND PARK – Another fire claimed the home of a Fruitland Park woman Monday evening. The blaze started at 3822 Citrus Circle in the county side of Fruitland Park at approximately 6:00 pm.

Firefighters from The Villages, Lake County, and Leesburg Fire Departments arrived on scene and quickly got the fire under control but the double-wide mobile home was already lost.

According to firefighters, the only occupants in the home at the time of the fire was the homeowner and her two dogs. The owner was able to escape the home with her dogs unharmed when the fire started which she says was an accidental fire.
