First Friday Art Walk Returns to Downtown Ocala

OCALA, Fla. — The First Friday Art Walk returns to downtown Ocala today, from 6 to 9 p.m., as was informed by The City of Ocala Cultural Arts Division.

Art Walk is a free event and takes place the Friday of each month from September through May. Located within Ocala’s historic downtown, event festivities include artist displays, live entertainment, family art activities and extended shopping hours. Local artists will be throughout this event creating works of arts and portraits on-site.

Today there will be the following special performances and activities:
6-9:00 p.m. Live music by Cami Maree on the main event stage on the square.
7:00 p.m. Ballroom dance performance by de the USA dance Ocala chapter 6027.
8:00 p.m. Belly dancing performance by the Cairo dancers.

Also, if you want to be part of the next “First Friday Art Walk” you can apply online at www.ocalafl.org. Visual artists, performing artists, arts organizations, downtown businesses are encouraged to fill out an application.
