Dunnellon Man Dies in Single Vehicle Accident

A 52-year-old Dunnellon man was pronounced dead after an accident Friday afternoon in Ocala.

The accident happened just after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Meadow Wood Drive and County Road 328.

According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling westbound on County Road 328 driving into a curve. At that time, the driver failed to negotiate the curve and left the roadway. The vehicle overturned and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

According to the report, the driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time.
