ASTOR – Lake County deputies are searching for two suspects involved in a robbery that occurred at the Dollar General in Astor Monday night according to Sgt. Fred Jones.
Jones stated that deputies responded to the Dollar General on State Road 40 in Astor after receiving a call about an armed robbery.
The suspects, described as two black males, entered the store armed with firearms where there were three customers shopping and two employees and tied them up using tape.
One suspect was described as a 6-foot tall skinny black male wearing camouflage pants, white tennis shoes, a black hoodie and a gray cloth across his face to conceal his identity.
The another suspect was described as a 5’10” tall light skinned black male wearing dark blue sweat pants, a dark colored hoodie, gray tennis shoes. The second suspect also had a cloth across his face to conceal his identity.
Both suspects were wearing blue latex gloves during the robbery.
