FRUITLAND PARK – Social media was abuzz when a helicopter landed in the field of the Trinity Assembly of God Church on the corner of Urick Street and S. Dixie Ave/Thomas Ave. in Fruitland Park Wednesday night.

EMS and Fire Fighters were on scene loading an unknown subject onto the helicopter.

According to a paramedic on the scene, they were unable to provide any details on the incident, however, they were able to inform us that it was not auto accident related and no police were involved.

Judging by the scene, it is unlikely the incident occurred on the property of the Trinity Assembly of God. Instead, we believe that the subject was transported by ambulance to the closest open field to allow the ORMC Air Care team to land their helicopter safely.

The entire incident took about twenty minutes at which time the helicopter transported the subject heading east. There is no further information available at this moment.
